How do I change or reset my passcode?

What to do if you need to change your passcode or backup email, or you don't remember your passcode

A passcode is an additional security mechanism that will prevent you from creating withdrawals from your wallet if someone gains access to it.

⚠️Never write down your passcode on the device where you are using Crypto Bot, or in any messages or notes inside Telegram. Also, never share it with others or enter it in any third-party bots or websites.

If you have difficulty using your current passcode after setting up the passcode, select the appropriate instructions for your case from the options below:

You want to change the passcode and remember your current passcode

1. Open the Crypto Bot app by selecting 📱 Open in App from the main menu @CryptoBot.​

2. Open the app menu and select ⚙️Settings by tapping the three ⋮ dots on the app tab.

3. Select the Security section.

4. Select Edit Passcode.

5. Enter your current passcode.

6. Set up a new passcode, and then enter it again to confirm.

7. After setting a new password, you will receive a message in the app and in @CryptoBot.


You want to change the passcode, but you don't remember the current passcode

Changing the passcode in this case is possible by confirming the reset of the current passcode by receiving a message to the backup e-mail specified when the passcode was set.

1. Open the Crypto Bot app by selecting 📱 Open in App from the main menu @CryptoBot.​

2. Open the app menu and select ⚙️Settings by tapping the three ⋮ dots on the app tab.

3. Select the Security section.

4. Select Edit Passcode.

5. Select I forgot my passcode.

6. Check your backup email and in the email you received from Crypto Bot ([email protected]), copy the confirmation code to reset the passcode and provide it in the next step.

7. Set up a new passcode, and then enter it again to confirm.

8. After setting a new password, you will receive a message in the app and in @CryptoBot.


You want to change the backup email and not change the passcode

Changing the backup mail will require access to the current backup mail.

If you do not have access to the current backup mail, but you know the passcode, you can change the backup mail by removing the passcode.

1. Open the Crypto Bot app by selecting 📱 Open in App from the main menu @CryptoBot.​

2. Open the app menu and select ⚙️Settings by tapping the three ⋮ dots on the app tab.

3. Select the Security section.

4. Select Backup Email.

5. Select Change Email.

6. Check your backup email and in the email you received from Crypto Bot ([email protected]), copy the confirmation code to reset the passcode and provide it in the next step.

7. Enter your new backup email and click to Continue.

8. If the backup mail is successfully changed, a message will be displayed.


You want to remove both the passcode and the backup email to set the others

In this case, deleting is possible by confirming the reset of the current passcode by entering the current passcode.

1. Open the Crypto Bot app by selecting 📱 Open in App from the main menu @CryptoBot.​

2. Open the app menu and select ⚙️Settings by tapping the three ⋮ dots on the app tab.

3. Select the Security section.

4. Select Remove passcode.

5. Enter your current passcode.

6. If the removal is successful, a notification will be shown and you will be able to set a new passcode and backup email.
