AML policy and how to withdraw blocked deposits

Updated over a month ago

Although we are of the belief that cryptocurrencies should be freely usable, criminals and abusers continue to use them for illegal activities (selling drugs, in hacking attacks, to finance terrorism, and so on).

Read our manifesto about zero tolerance policy for attempts to use Crypto Bot for illegal activities or fraudulent transactions.

As the events of the recent past show, cryptocurrency services that facilitate money laundering are stopped by the intervention of the relevant public authorities. On this basis, centralized exchanges and P2P trading services are forced to monitor the sources of cryptocurrencies from users using KYC (Know Your Customer) and AML (Anti-Money Laundering) procedures provided for by law in most jurisdictions.

If you receive a notification when attempting to deposit:

Deposit was locked”,

the coins you sent cannot be credited to your balance for use in Crypto Bot because they may be associated with illegal transactions or questionable sources such as darknet marketplaces, mixers, illegal casinos, sanctioned entities, or stolen coins.

Such deposits will be blocked. You will be able to withdraw the blocked coins to another external wallet (a wallet not from Crypto Bot) after KYC verification with identity confirmation.

⚠️ If a deposit is blocked, your deposit address to which the blocked deposit was sent will be replaced with a new one.

New transactions sent to the previous address will be processed, but any coins will be blocked from withdrawal, as this address will now be associated with coins with questionable history.

New deposits will need to be sent to the updated address that appears in the wallet.

To unlock and withdraw a blocked deposit:

1. Complete KYC verification following these instructions.

For withdrawal of blocked deposits it is enough to confirm your identity. Verification of the residential address is not mandatory for this purpose.

2. When you have been verified, you will be able to withdraw your coins to another address. Enter an address that is not affiliated with @CryptoBot.
